Futures actually not up that much over fair value, but anything green is encouraging. BBY - at 10x next year's earnings, it is finally time to start a position here with the Jan 02 30 LEAP calls. Downside is very limited unless the US economy craters completely, which I do not expect with expected rate cuts. Vivendi - the V-VO merger is a compelling value at $60 billion market cap and $55 billion projected revenues next year. That is a fraction of the AOL-TWX combination's multiples, which will have a $200 billion market cap for $35 billion sales. Buying the June 12.5 calls for 2 1/2.
