I'm certainly not an expert on the oil industry. Our
hospital, like many industrial and large commercial gas
consumers has a interruptable gas supply contract. If
we have to change over to #2 Oil, we use about 4000 gal
on a cold winter day. That certainly makes an oil supplier
happy. In the winter of 96-97 we had gas supply problems
and were on oil for more than 6 weeks. The oil prices were
lower then and there was no supply problem. If we run
short of gas this year and have to go on oil it could be
costly.

You might want to check out what a lot of scientists are saying about world oil supply. Sure world oil production
is at historic highs but so is demand. More people are
getting cars in former communist countries and the third world.
