Retailers are slashing prices. Christmas wont be so bad. Greenspan is aware of recession probabilities and unlike in 1990 he will not act to late this time. Presidential election should be completed today, i hope. Soft landings of aircraft are still bumpy when the plain in fact touches down. If we get thru christmas in ok shape without big pc inventories, and the economy doesnt tank we will be in good shape by Q2. As seen by the fact that intc is up in pre-market q4 and q1 are factored into prices. This will hold for msft as well. Actually pre-announcing in a very conservative fashion for q4, q1 and reducing expectations for 2001 will lead imo to earnings surprises down the road. It sure looks like a bottom in nasdaq to me. And well positioned companies who execute will be the big winners next year.
