To date, the Ricochet 128 kbps network now covers a population totaling more than 1.2 million in the Phoenix metropolitan area. In addition, Metricom today reports that the company received right of way approval from the city of Mesa to begin installation of its wireless network immediately. Mesa includes a population of more than 410,000 people.
