"There are rumors that the Palomino high-end Athlon will appear well before Q2 with speeds overlapping the P4 range" If nothing else, the 1.33GHz and 1.46GHz Palomino will be overlapping the 1.3GHz and 1.4GHz P4s. Now there are rumors of a 1.73GHz (I guess) Palomino being flashed around at some tradeshows, which is not totally incredible if you think about it. I wouldn't expect this in Q1 or even Q2, but who expected a Gigaprocessor in Q1 of this year?
