If you're going to get Electoral College reform, it has to start with the big states like California. Then it would trickle down. Otherwise you would basically have California determine every election.

If California does indeed do that, then I'm sure the other states will fall in line just for that reason. This would, I believe, take the electoral college back to what our founding fathers really wanted - equality for all. By giving all the electoral votes to the popular winner of a state gives power to the populist area's where traditionaly is the welfare ideals.
