Mark --- you say "If there is a POS display, GUMM is paying for the advertising and is engaging in some sort of coop venture with the retailer."

I agree with the first part, that GUMM is probably giving the retailer some sort of consideration for the POS display (retailers don't do anything these days for nothing -- I heard from a reliable source that you have to PAY some chain drug stores just to get an appointment in their purchasing department!!) --- but unless we are privy to the private agreement between the retailer and GUMM, we really can't assume more than this. Coop venture?? This is just wild speculation on your part. What are the terms of this "coop venture" might I ask? You don't know, do you? Just assuming there must be one, and assuming that the terms of that "coop venture" state that GUMM has the right to enter each and every store to stock shelves. And since the shelf in one store in your tiny corner of the universe is not stocked to your liking, GUMM must be an incompetent company. Kind of a house of cards you're building, wild assumption after wild assumption. Pleeeeeeze.
