To those still fearful of committing to any particular tech stocks, may I suggest doing some DD on HOLDERS.

amex.com

IIH {Internet Infrastructure] and BHH [B2B] are both up about 9% today . . about double that of the COMPX and the NDX on a percentage basis. . . . [the way I gauge momentum] . .

It is easy to get lots of exposure in just a handful of stocks that can be easily traded long or short. . .

To our traders. . . .HOLDERS are a great way to "turn on a dime" . . . with just a half dozen positions, you can hold a big chunk of tech, then go short these same areas when desired.

Caution: Be sure to check the holdings of the holders. . .so that you are aware. . . and are not holding a stock in your port and in several holders. . .giving too much exposure to a single stock.

To those who insist on buying stocks under $5, even $10. . . thinking that you are doing the right thing, since you can hold higher numbers of shares. . . .may I urge you to take a look at HOLDERS. . . these are generally only in the $20 - $30 range. . .yet represent an entire sector, which provides more stability through diversity.

Nobody enjoys sleepers much more than I. . . .but I MUCH prefer a market that gets momentum. . . and play it as aggressively as possible while I can. . .even if it means using some of the funds that are normally sleeping. And again, I warn that many of the sleepers of 2000 will become the bankruptcies of 2001.

Just be sure to verify the revenue stream and study where the operating expenses are going. This is how you get to "know" your investment. If I was going to miss a major market move, because of my confidence in a few sleepers. . .I would want to know that I was right without any shadow of doubt. I'd be wanting to visit the company. . .and explore the competition and even talk to the vendors and customers to make certain that everyone was happy. It is surprising what a little investigative work can turn up. By doing so, many proud "parents" have found that their "baby" turned out to be crooked, broke or incompetent.
