I was watching CNBC a few moments ago when the rulings in the Bush/Gore court case was announced.

It seems the judges, Lewis and Clark, found favourably for Bush.

These judges were much younger than I expected. After all, didn't they explore the Oregon trail to the Pacific Ocean in the mid 1800s? I believe the Lewis and Clark expedition was sent by the president to determine just what was beyond the current frontier. Although Lewis and Clark are the well known leaders of that expedition, the native woman who accompanied them, and acted as translator, was long forgotten, until recently, when her image was chosen to appear on the new $1 coin.

Anyway, it's nice to see the hardships these early explorers endured being recognized and rewarded. I'm sure that the challenges of frontier travel had given them a certain toughness and tenacity, characteristics which must serve them well now that they spend their days listening to long-winded lawyers.

Cheers, PW.
