To that I would add that the Florida General Assembly is "nothing more than a conservative, partisan group of people."

Pick your poison. This is politics. The Repubs have no cause to climb aboard any moral soapbox by virtue of the fact that they have circumvented the yet-to-be-known will of the people and elected their own slate of Electoral College rent-a-voters.
