You can not select out the UNDERVOTES without also looking for additional OVERVOTES.......the computers can select out those cards with an UNDERVOTE as nothing is recorded but what about ballots with a vote for a single candidate with a clear hole and a dimple in the other candidates slot.......that is an OVERVOTE and should be deleted from the candidate.....a dimple works both ways.... it adds votes but it also subtracts.....the only way to find these OVERVOTES is to manually count ALL THE BALLOTS as these can not be selected out by the computer........since Gore received 200000 additional votes in the 25 counties that used the votamatic (according to my calculations) he is in a position to gain from the UNDERVOTES but lose some from additional OVERVOTES.....by looking only at the UNDERVOTE they have made a fatal error and as a result this decision will likely be overturned by the US Supreme Court.
