Gary, I've had 2 Sentras: an '85 which I drove 165K miles and then gave it to my son who still has it. Mine was either 84 or 85. I had 2 problems with the '85, fuel pump and starter. The same problem for me. The fuel pump plus whatever else was involved in getting the gas to the engine. For some reason, no one was ever able to fix it. I think I went through several fuel pumps.
