The obvious sensible thing to do was to just re-count the whole state while there was time. But NOOO Bush had to get snippy and peeved and say he doesn't want anyone to look at the real results, he just wants whatever margin his brother can give him. This is karma, he may well have won a recount and he would have the full faith and backing of America when he took office.
