BTW, I continue to think Gore will be better for the stock market (less keen on inflationary tax cuts, so interest rates will be lower), the Internet (at least he's heard of it), and SUNW in particular (less likely to ease up on Microsoft). Just look at the California vote if you think I'm an outlier in that belief. So although I suspect we will be (already are being) slammed as a result of the ruling in favor of Gore, the long term looks brighter to me.

As for circling the wagons, I think I've got enough cash on account to live for the next couple of years. That gives me a lot of confidence I can ride this out. It's unpleasant to encounter these bumps in the road -- very unpleasant -- but it's not the first time we've had this kind of thing happen. We got past the Asian Crisis, Impeachment, Kosovo, Long Term Capital, etc. and we'll get past this.

The Internet isn't going away. Neither is Sun.
