I made my case. Her options to do other than she did were limited...the same would be true for any Democrat or Independent in her position. Substitute any name into my prior post, and think about it.


Which case? That both sides are hypocritical and maneuvering for advantage? Absolutely. That Katherine Harris had no choice about her decisions? No. Remember the little charade she went through, getting written extension requests from the recounting counties, then denying them all? She had discretion to say that she would support local efforts to make a very careful count and would accept amended returns. A number of counties did manually count the undervote without Gore's requests.
