David, If I had a bunch of options on stock that had jumped from 24 to 70 in the past 8 months, and I needed cash, I could not borrow against the options. With the stock so 'volitile', I would sell the options and take the cash as the prudent move.

Insider trading must be taken with a big grain of reality, and reality is that execs given big options positions frequently need cash, just like you and me.
