a reasonable person could argue that the legislature directed that the vote of the people would determine the electors.

we know what republicans think about rules changing after the fact... let's be intellectually consistent and honest. we don't want to become like gore to beat him.

i am no al gore fan... he's the worst of what i dislike in politicians. however, i don't want legislatures deciding they can screw the vote of their citizens.

that, my friend, is a long, slippery sloap. sure, it may get "your guy" elected in the short term. however, it will screw everyone in the long term.

let's look at the horizon, not our feet.
