I lightened up on many of my tech stocks this afternoon and went short a bit after the news of the court ruling. Now I am "balanced" between long and short positions with my short positions being in stocks that gained 20% or more just today.

To begin with, I am not fully loaded up but on Monday, what I plan to do is see how it goes in the AM. I am expecting a sharp dip with a late morning recovery. At that point I will raise my stops to perserve any profits and then should the markets go markedly lower in the afternoon and trigger my stops, I will buy back in at the lower levels.

I have a feeling, though, that the markets may be becoming desensitized to these political machinations and will decide not to jeoparize its recent return to some semblance of trading normalcy. After all, there will be a president on January 20th even if we have to draft the Speaker of the House.
