Lower than Expected Revenues Result from Slowing Demand for IT Solutions

Net Loss Expected to be In Line with Expectations
EMERYVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 2000--Intraware, Inc. (Nasdaq:ITRA - news), a leading provider of Internet-enabled information technology (IT) management solutions, today announced preliminary financial results for the quarter ended November 30, 2000. Based on preliminary results, the company expects total revenues for the third fiscal quarter to be between $23 million and $25 million, which is less than previous expectations. Also based on preliminary results, the company expects gross profit to be between $9.5 million and $10.5 million for the period and expects the net loss to be between $11.5 million and $13 million. This range of net loss is consistent with or better than current analyst expectations. The company believes the preliminary numbers that provide the basis for these expectations to be accurate but the preliminary financial results are subject to adjustment based on review by the company's independent auditors. The company will release final financial results and will host a conference call for investors during the week of January 8, 2001.
