Well, Judge Clark's ruling did follow her utterances. The FSC has thrown some new wrenches into the works, though. This fits well with your conspiracy theory, and also fits well with my prior "party hack" theory. LOL In a sort of twisted logic the FSC tried to create and equitable solution (i.e. a statewide manual recount) where no legal principles exist to justify it. Unfortunately they didn't accompany their solution with any guidance as to what constitutes a vote. Basically the rule is to try to divine the voter's intent. Since there is no appeal process to appeal the rulings on individual ballots, this opens the door for "creative" interpretations of ballots. Republican canvassing boards have no doubt been feeling frustrated as they watched boards in counties like Broward "create" votes. Now they will have the opportunity to "create" some of their own. At this point I expect that we will see some really bizarre election returns coming from some of these counties as we have now opened the door wide for the massive election fraud I have long expected, and we will see which party is better at it. I fully expect that we see manual recount results running strongly in favor of whatever party controls the canvassing boards, and some huge swings. A few counties may report small changes, but I expect that most counties will find hundreds or even thousands of new votes. Won't this be a funny way to decide an election? A contest to see which counties can be the most "creative" when it comes to divining the "intent" of voters. LOL For example, just as Palm Beach changed counting rules halfway through, we could see Duvall County, which I believe is Republican controlled, count the Democrat precincts first using strict rules, and then liberalize them as they move into the Republican precincts. Just think how many more lawsuits we could have!

But it won't end there. There is virtually no way to prevent a massive constitutional crisis now. Maybe there never was. Obviously the stock market is due for another "Gore crash" on Monday, and it will be justified in my opinion. As we slowly approach the crisis I have feared with riots on both sides and half the people in the country unwilling to recognize the government as legitimate, how can we avoid also experiencing a recession or worse? We could see competing slates of electors, and who knows how many more lawsuits before we're done. Will Greenspan respond with liquidity to hold the market together?

In a abstract sort of way it is fascinating to watch as our very system of election and government slowly disintegrates before our eyes. I have long expected that I would live long enough to see the end of our system of government. I haven't been expecting it for another 20 years or so, however. Probably we'll recover from this crisis and limp along for a few more years before ultimately collapsing however because there is still too much respect for our system of government. Or is there?
