well......he could have been nice and accepted an offer he knew wasnt his (Gore's) to offer. -from the original post you replied too- Message 14981108 Can anyone here can show me or point me to any provision or whatever it is that states a manual recount was an option Gore could offer to Bush at that time. Maybe just maybe the good folks in Florida could have opened an avenue for this to be negotiated BUT clearly as I understand it IT WAS NOT FOR GORE TO OFFER.......! so what......??? an empty attempt that may have him looking good.
