I'm sure someone else has done what I did in downloading the statewide results from: enight.dos.state.fl.us then manually adding a column for the undervotes by county from: cnn.com I know it's an oversimplification, but if the undervotes were "converted" to legal votes in the same proportions as the certified results, I get a net gain for Bush of 277 (2399 - 2122) if I assume 10% of all undervotes were recoverable. Naturally this would require consistent standards across counties and honest counting, which I think is the gaping hole in my exercise's logic, sadly... Has anyone else done the exercise?
