pass enabling legislation allowiing(sic) the statewide manual recount to go forward. This exposes much of what is wrong with what is going on in Florida. The election MUST be decided by the laws that were in effect on the day of the election. They cannot simply pass a new law because they want to, or think that it is the "right thing to do". If we could just stick with the law and if a re-count is necessary, then re-count according to the law in effect on election day (i.e., dimples are not counted). Why is following the law too much to ask?
