I am very familiar with the Turner diaries. It was written by a rabid racist and anti-semite.

I am unfamiliar with the history of the press in this country. My suspicion from what I have occasionally chanced upon in my reading, is that the press has always tilted to the "liberal" side here, and in other countries. I've read that in Iran the press is viewed as dangerously liberal, and that newsmen have been jailed, and presses closed (no Jews in control there--I will tell you that!).

In South and Central America, the liberal agitators that vexed regimes were often Catholic priests who espoused "liberation theology"--i.e., something very akin to Communism. Most couldn't blame them for advocating change, but they went a little overboard.
