Steve--Now that US SC has stayed the recounts by a 5/4 vote, mkt likely straight up on Monday since futures at discount and rush to cover will occur--most will think USSC would not have stopped the recount pending a hearing if they thought Bush' case was weak. 11am hearing is now likely just a formality.Bush wins --Too bad that way, since I would have liked to see the result--as I think most Americans would have since that would have given the winner much more of a mandate. In the privacy of his bedroom, I doubt that even Bush would really have wanted to win this way, particularly since the USSC vote was extremely close and particularly since the Dade result to the time of stopping may become known. Dade had finished more than 1/2 the 9000 when they stopped. By Monday am, I wouldn't be surprised if the unofficial tally of those ballots newly manually recounted had already swung the vote to Gore, when they were forced to stop. --Maybe 1 of those USSC justices will be swayed by the result once the hearing starts? Waddaya think
