If a bullish triangle did complete on 11/30 (& I think it did), the minimum requirement is that there be a retracement back to the beginning of the triangle. That would be about 3500 on NDX. If the triangle terminated a larger move, then the entire move is retraced. The guys you heard must believe that this triangle terminated the entire correction from 3/24.
