What a lesson in Democracy! -
While we each have our political preferences, and, for the sake of the economy and the market we would like to have this uncertainty resolved, what a lesson in democracy we are living. 10-20-50 years from now, the election of 2000 will be discussed. I hope that citizens in other countries see what is going on as an exercise in democracy and not one of chaos. I have felt for quite a while that this issue would be resolved by the US Supreme Court. They are the highest court in the land.
I voted for Gore, but feel that Bush should win the election. He won under the rules in effect at the time of the election. done deal. if you start tampering with the rules post election, you are opening a pandoras box much larger than who will be the next president. larry
