Jesse Jackson and the NAACP keep saying how blacks were intimidated and denied their ability to vote

The Justice Department is starting investigations of these charges. The NAACP is complaining that many minority voters were prevented from voting by:

1. having registered voters mysteriously vanish from the voter rolls
2. having polling places close or move without notice
3. having State Trooper roadblocks keep them from the polls
4. having antiquated voting equipment that did not let polling clerks check the validity of the ballot. This resulted in as many as 1 in 3 ballots being thrown out in some precincts.

Complaints about 1, 2 and 3 started on Election Day, before anyone knew how close the election would be. Jesse Jackson may be a publicity whore, but sometimes he champions actual causes.
