We were in Best Buy this afternoon, as I am contemplating buying the kids another computer for Christmas, since we are always fighting over the two we have. (3 actually, my husband has the old 386 and plays old games on it.) Man, oh, man, the lines at the cash register went halfway to the back of the store, and this is a huge store! The lines to get into the nearest shopping mall were almost two miles long!

My jaw dropped when I saw what you could get for $1000 this year. 30 gig hard drive, 40x CD-ROM reader, 4x CD-RW, 128 mb SDRAM, and so on and so forth. And I haven't even started comparison shopping. We have decided to celebrate Christmas according to the Orthodox calender, and take advantage of the inevitable post-Christmas sales. -g-
