Aren't you aware of the facts? The facts are twofold:

1) Because of the absentee ballot controversy of the Miami mayoral race of '97, the legislature passed new and very stringent laws relative Florida's absentee ballots. Republican-dominated counties rejected those ballots every bit as stringently as did Democrat-dominated counties.

2) Gore got on national television and requested those votes be counted.

This much I've learned from this election: Rare is the GOPwinger who doesn't resort to distortion as a primary tactic, even to the point of annointing, if the votes remain uncounted, an illegitimate president and vice president.
