I have no objections to counting.
Inventing is a problem.

If you read the Constitution (U.S. not Florida), you might be surprised at how much power, if you want to call it that, is granted to elected officials over citizens.

Read the counter to the dissent in the USSC ruling. It's a roadmap for Olson (if it's him) to follow on Monday. It also alerts the Gore attorney(s) as to what they will have to argue if they hope to win.

The National popular vote is totally irrelevant because it is neither a sufficient nor a required condition to become President Elect.

The problem with the Florida Supreme Ct is that the Constitution directs the appointment of state electors to be determined in such a manner as directed by the state legislature.

The purpose of the election is to install a Constitutional Government. Popularity or perceived legitimacy by the population at large doesn't really matter because as long as it is established in accordance with the Constitution it is by the only definition that matters legitimate.
