Rande,

You mentioned you were saddened about how partisan powers can bring down an army of attorneys with which to drive the courts into rulings they don't wish to make.

I to am saddened, but for a different reason.

I've been away from my comp for a few days and just got done reading all the posts here at Home. Unless I missed it I didn't find one post about the great Americans that gave their all at Pearl Harbor on Dec 7th. Hopefully I just missed it.

I didn't watch TV all day and night on the 7th, but I did do a bit of surfing and saw no mention of it other than on the History Channel. Very sad.

Then yesterday we have Barbara Walters et al falling all over themselves doing pieces on John Lennon. I've got nothing against John, his is a tragedy that is all too often played out in our county, but I do think it would have been nice if the main stream media would have mentioned the men and woman who died to insure the rights we now enjoy.

Perhaps I'm overly sensitive about this because my father was stationed at Sub Base Pearl Harbor on the 7th, but I do feel that it would not hurt any of us to take a minute to give thanks for the sacrifice these brave folks gave on our behalf.

It might also be nice if we could find the time to send off an email to the major media organizations and remind them that it's a major slap in the face to the survivors and the families of those who didn't survive, to ignore this important event in our history.

God Bless you and yours,

Marc
