ROCHESTER, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 2000--PEMSTAR Inc., (Nasdaq:PMTR - news) a leading provider of global engineering, manufacturing and fulfillment services to original equipment manufacturers announced today that, in response to demand from its key customers, it has opened a new facility in Brazil. The operation will be incorporated as PEMSTAR Brasil Ltda.

The PEMSTAR operation is located in the IBM Tech Town facility, a state-of-the-art Business Park in Hortolandia, in the Campinas region of Brazil. This facility was selected because of its proximity to several key PEMSTAR customers as well as Brazil's largest international cargo airport in Viracopos.
