pretty amazing stuff. the caliber of men present in the timeframe of the am. revolution was extraordinary. that is my all time-favorite period of (relatively) modern world history. where are the jeffersons, henrys, benjamen franklins, etc. in recent times? maybe churchill, teddy roosevelt.... ah, who else??? what is interesting is that these type of men leap from the pages of history at times of turmoil and strife. wonder why that is the case? maybe it is true that trying times will reveal the best or the worst in us. trial by fire. think that this electorama has revealed a lot about current presidential candidates, as well as the people of this nation. and the next four years haven't even begun! thanks for posting that... by the way, you are probably aware that Patrick Henry was considered by his some of his contemporaries to be a cantankerous, not well-liked character? lol
