AbsMan, a deadline just seems a horrible undesirable way to end this
I am incorrect that USSC has authority to change dates
USSC can urge the FL Legislature to slide Elector appt date

I dont object to hand recounts, I object to a resumption of the travesty we saw where Democrats ran the whole show under a strict time deadline, and twisted votes

I have a real big problem with machine count accuracy being 100 times greater than margin of victory

in my own idealism, I want a semblance of a defensible outcome

maybe this will just end
I think Dade overstepped

the division within the USSC screams out for a better solution
I dont know what it is
but the headline
"Bush wins as clock runs out, undervotes never examined"
will make a wretched embarrassing pathetic chapter title in the history books

I despise Gore and his tactics
I am just hoping for a reasonable end with minimal mucous
the above headline reads like a Nicaraguan election outcome

USSC will strive for unanimity here somehow

Paul, seriously, how can this be resolved?
