Conservative justice Antonin Scalia took the unusual step of answering Stevens. He said granting the stay suggested a majority of the court believed Bush ``has a substantial probability of success.''

i.e. The Republicans on the Supreme Court have predetermined that they will guarantee Bush victory, prior to having heard the evidence for the recount (which they have no business questioning in the first place.)

Tell me that this doesn't make you a little queasy.
