After my screaming fit yesterday about Boise's desire to certify after Miami/Dade rather then wait for all the votes to be counted I felt I needed a break.

I see while reading this morning that the USSC perhaps saw his statement the same as I did. A classic from the Daley book of how to steal an election. Keep talking about every vote counting, but as soon as you lead by one stop counting and anoint yourself the winner. I think he made a really huge error by making that statement.

Worse thing is though I was happy with the way the recounts that I was able to watch on MSNBC were progressing. Truly looked like counting instead of divining that we saw in Broward.

Now if you really want to hear something crazy, I wish the count had continued until finished. There were many area's that Bush won rather comfortably left to be counted. With decent standards I think he would have still prevailed. I now think he will prevail on this present course but these ballots will be counted after the fact by Gore supporters with no standards and guess what, they will find enough votes for him to appear to have won FL. I don't see that as a good thing for the next 4 years.

So I guess the real question at this point is how badly Mr. Gore and his supporters and the press want to hammer this country into the ground for the next 4 years. We will see I guess but I don't think it will be pretty.
