Issue: Whether the court should grant a stay of the Florida Court decision ordering a statewide hand recount of the undervote? Held: Yes Rationale: A recount might reveal that Gore won. The disclosure of the truth might cause irreparable harm to Bush so the US Supreme Court must suppress the truth to help Bush.
