What I found eerie about Gore's comment was the discussion of distorting one's personality in order to entertain others. It gave me chilling insights into how his mind works. He wasn't talking about Elizabethan actors, he was talking about himself. He was saying that he uses his personality as a tool of his trade.

I also find it eerie that you don't see that.
