A quick decision in Gores favor on monday could, with an all nighter, get those votes counted. Unlikely, i know. I really hated the FSC decision but once the count started it was really hard for me to have it stopped. It is unclear to me that Bush would automatically have lost in this recount. My gut tells me the SC should unify standards for the recount and include already recounted broward and the democrat precincts in dade and perhaps even palm. Also overvotes should be reviewed. Then somehow they should get the 12th deadline extended to the 14th. I doubt whether any of this is possible or legal but I believe an outcome based on the above would be acceptable to most americans. In the absence of this solution, the SC should overrule the FSC. You cant overturn the election based on a statewided recount without statewide standards.
