Tom, my guess is that the disputed ballots will be "lost", destroyed, or placed under lock & key so that the legitimacy of the GWB win can not be further contested. The disputed ballots are currently on their way to Washington.

The country will give Bush a chance, the usual "honeymoon". This is the USA and we rally behind the President whether or not we voted for him. But if anything goes sour, the election dispute will come back to haunt him in 2002 and 2004.
