I am presenting the truth and the law. Your answer is spin. I don't care that there have been hand counts in other elections. There was a legal one in this election. They were requested by Al Gore within the 72 hours allowed by law. Some of them were completed in time for the one week deadline. More of them were completed by the SECOND deadline and THEY were included. That is when the time ran out. There would not have been as many votes for Gore as there were in those handcounts if the dems wern't pressuring the canvassing boards to loosen their chosen standards. Even the arguments made by Boise when they were SUING the democratic canvassing board for PBC he exagerated to say the least (I say lied) to leave the impression that votes were always counted like they were suggesting. Truth is there has NEVER been an election ANYWHERE in the U.S. where dimples were de-facto counted as votes.

How do you argue with this logic that was given in court.

the following is paraphrased
1) If there is one dimple by a presidential candidate, is that a vote?
answer: yes
2) If one presidential chad is completely knocked through, and there is a dimple by the other, is that (the dimple) a vote?
answer: no

How do you rectify those two statements by Gore's expert witness. Again, it is paraphrased, not a word for word quote. A logical person could assume that a dimple could be two different things, right?

If nothing else, can you not see that FL law did not allow for an equitable way to do this? And if the rules in place at the time do allow for a comparison that does not favor either candidate (the machine counted votes), shouldn't that count? Gore DID get extra votes via the mechanism that allowed for hand counts. In addition, he got a 12 day extension to that. And you guys can still say with a straight face (maybe you are really laughing your butts off because of the demo smear job on Bush) that Bush is stealing the election.

I feel sorry for your kids.
