Without the intervention of the US Supreme Court, about 25 minutes ago, all the undervotes in Florida would have been counted. The election would be over. Thanks to the Bush lawyers and the Federal courts, the election is still an open question. It's now up to the US Supreme Court to crown Mr. Bush president. Scalia and friends win, the constitution loses. The conservatives win the battle and lose the war for one of their key principles, states rights. Oh well, it's only politics, John
