I'm reviewing the Sept. 12 letter estimating the writedown of about 30-35 M and Pappas only talks about non-cash charges. Based on that, I hope to see the same earnings they showed when on Nasdaq, before amortization and extraordinary charges (KPMG, Pappas). But my confidence level is low. The latest report where they're bragging about their "brand new" 1998 production line confused me. Maybe it is the only equipment that will not be reduced to NIL on the balance sheet. Plus having a look at their web site vari-l.com tells me that they don't get it in terms of marketing themselves. I hope they could make it nicer with a more professional look. A 15 yr old kid would have done a better job IMO... FWIW, Francois
