Records show that Steven Kirsch, who admits he bankrolled
the Seminole County suit to the tune of $250,000, also
paid $500,000 to a committee that Gore established to
wage the recount war.

Kirsch, who invented the optical computer mouse in 1982
and also founded the Web company Infoseek, was the single
biggest donor to Gore's recount committee, which
collected $3.2 million for lawyers' fees and expenses.
