From a newsleter which just offered to teach me how to trade them if I take their free trial <g> Has your tax-return professional informed you that true index options including the OEX, SPX and mini-NDX are treated as "1256 events" and taxed on a 60% long-term/40% short term capital gains basis regardless of timespan held? A considerable advantage over short-term equity trades taxed at 100% short-term basis. No kidding? wow : )
