It has everything to do with "hanging chads". The entire hanging chad issue wasn't an issue until Gore needed a reason to continue contesting the recounts. If the recount was left to hanging chads alone, this election would have been over 2 weeks ago. The democrats are far beyond hanging chads at this point. We're beyond magnifying glasses. We are now leaving the results of hand counts up to divination of a voter's intent by Democratic canvassing boards with a vested interest in seeing their candidates win.
