Ouch! Hey, I'm on your side. I think Gore's strategy of sending in a team of legal eagles to turn over every stone in Florida looking for ways to overturn the election is contemptible. It sure would have been better for the country if he'd conceded after the second recount instead of unleashing Daley and his ilk and persuing every legal recourse available to him. Having said that, I don't want to listen to the Dems whine for the next four years about how Bush "stole" the election. I believe that a small percentage of the no-vote ballots are actually legitimate votes that were missed by the machines. Far from volunteering to take the losing side, I'm convinced that a fair examination of these ballots wouldn't uncover enough votes for Gore. Presto, good-bye and good riddance Messrs Gore and Lieberman, who will be remembered as the sorest losers in American history. Well, we'll see what the US SC has to say. Though some may not like it, everyone will respect and abide by their decision. I just hope the decision is one that preserves the confidence of the American people in both the US SC and the results of this election.
