Actually, China has a GSM network, just like in Europe. China's is the largest GSM network in the world.

you are absolutely correct. my prediction was based upon their recent decision to begin a buildout (on a limited scale) of a CDMA network.

if that doesn't work for you. then we can just throw out the china example (it's not important to my point) and use any of thousands of other examples of new technology deployment. i just used china's CDMA installation decision as an example because everyone here is familiar with it.
