Tectonic Fund's Bill Kish on Recovery in Tech Stocks: Comment
By Dina Bass

San Francisco, Dec. 5 (Bloomberg) -- The following are comments from Bill Kish, general partner at Tectonic Fund, which holds consumer and technology stocks, about today's 10.5 percent surge in the Nasdaq Composite index.

``The sell-off has been a manufactured correction by analysts and the news and that created fear. The companies -- Cisco Systems Inc., Sun Microsystems Inc., Applied Materials Inc -- the bellwether companies all reported increases in revenues and earnings from the first quarter and the street was handicapping the next two quarters.''

``There are some fabulous opportunities for companies still growing at 15 to 20 percent each quarter: Broadcom Corp., Applied Micro Circuits Corp., Redback Networks Inc., Extreme Networks Inc., Inktomi Corp., Akamai Technologies Inc.''

``The Cisco analyst meeting yesterday and Greenspan's comments this morning coupled with the possibility of a political solution soon (caused the recovery). The fear in the market will become not owning these stocks now. ''
